Nick Padmore - Professional Racing Driver

Nick Padmore is one of the leading historic race drivers in the UK. Whether he’s in an historic Formula 1 car, a classic Mini, or a more modern LMP machine, Nick’s no-nonsense approach and devastating lap times have led to drives and victories in almost every type of race car.

After several years of successful karting, Nick started climbing the single seater ranks via Formula First, Formula Ford and Formula Palmer Audi before stints in Eurocar and British GT. It was in Radicals that Nick started to fly: he won multiple races and became a works driver for six years. After some races in his father’s classic Mini, Nick soon stepped up to classic Formula 3. Picking and choosing his races, he won 10 from 10, including the Brian Henton Trophy at the Silverstone Classic.

A BRDC member for many years, his success has kept coming with a triple crown of Historic Formula 1 Championships and two Goodwood lap records via a Lola T70 Spyder and an Arrows A11. Such is his experience and speed, he is a trusted member of the Williams Heritage Team, getting behind the wheel of some of its most valuable historic cars.

Where Nick differs from many professional drivers is in his ability to transfer his knowledge and experience to other drivers. He is one of the leading driver coaches in the world and has worked with both amateurs and professionals across the globe.
